JTL celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

JTL, one of the leading apprenticeship providers in the building services engineering sector in England and Wales, is marking one of the most important events on the learning calendar: National Apprenticeship Week (6th – 12th February).

During the week the apprenticeship provider will be hosting open days at its Birmingham, Oxford, and Telford centres as well as exhibiting at four key events around the country whilst reminding employers and learners of the essential value of apprenticeships.

Online, JTL will be sharing its Employers like you campaign, which shares video testimonials from employers recounting their experiences with apprentices as well as its A trade is always with you campaign, which targets potential learners with the benefits of taking on an apprenticeship.

JTL works with over 3,800 businesses and trains more apprentices than any other training provider in the building services engineering sector, it facilitates the apprenticeship process through the matching of prospective learners with an employer appropriate to their interest. Learners are provided with a dedicated training officer to oversee their journey, and in support of their practical work, they receive free learning sources and a complimentary toolkit for their onsite work.

During National Apprenticeship Week, JTL will host open days at its Oxford centre on 6th February between 5pm – 7pm, Birmingham centre on 7th February between 5pm – 7pm, and at its Telford centre on 9th February during 8am – 6pm. These centres will be open to prospective apprentices and employers wishing to gain insight into JTL and find out more about either taking on an apprentice or completing an apprenticeship as well as take a tour of the centres and see the first-class facilities on offer.

Further afield, JTL will be attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair 2023 on 6th February, and the Gateacre School Careers Fair on 7th February whilst also taking part in virtual events – The Big Assembly on 7th February and the Festival of Apprenticeships during 6th – 10th February.

Caroline Turner, Director of Policy & External Relations at JTL, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is one of the most important events on our calendar and a great opportunity to remind both potential employers and learners of the many benefits of an apprenticeship. Whether you’re an employer seeking to employ a new workforce trained in new and relevant technologies, or a learner looking to begin a rewarding career in a well-paid field, we want everyone to know that JTL is here to make the apprenticeship process as easy and successful for everyone as possible.

“During 6th – 10th February we’re reminding everyone of the many advantages of an apprenticeship including earning whilst learning, gaining future-proofed skillsets, and addressing the gap in the nation’s current skills shortage.”
