In the case of 3 phase charging equipment, what would be required to avoid the installation of a dedicated Earth Electrode?

Question: In the case of 3 phase charging equipment, what would be required to avoid the installation of a dedicated Earth Electrode?

Answer: Methods recognised in Section 722 of the 18th Edition (as amended) avoiding the use of an earth electrode include: (1) applying indent (i) of Regulation 722.411.4.1, (2) applying indent (iii) Regulation 722.411.4.1 with a measuring arrangement as described in indent (b) of Item A722.4 of Annex A722, (3) applying a suitable alternative device in accordance with indent (v) of Regulation 722.411.4.1, and (4) use of a suitable separated system such as that shown in Fig A722 of Annex A722, applied in a way that complies with all relevant requirements of BS 7671.
