ECA Member firms Balfour Beatty and Clarkson Evans are listed in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers this year. The firms are ranked alongside the British Army, the Royal Navy and other household names.
Of the smaller ECA Members, Darke and Taylor and ESG are recognised, making the list of the 50 Top SME Apprenticeship Employers.
Together, the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers reveal which employers – large and small – are the country’s top apprenticeship employers for 2023.
The rankings recognise employers for their commitment to employing apprentices, their creation of new apprenticeships, the diversity of their new apprentices, and the number of apprentices who complete their apprenticeships and progress further with the employer.
First compiled in 2020, the prestigious annual employer rankings have been developed by the Department of Education, in partnership with High Fliers Research, who independently assess and rank the nation’s top apprenticeship employers.
Many ECA Members started their careers as apprentices and progressed to senior company roles or running their own businesses. They understand the mix of skills and experience needed by trainees.
ECA plays a pivotal role shaping employment, training and qualification programmes to fit our industry for the future.
